Trans-Humanities publishes materials that expand humanities research to include contemporary cultural and sociological phenomena and to open an academic and discursive space for trans-boundary and multi or trans-disciplinary approaches and communications, not just in the humanities but also the social sciences, the natural sciences, and the arts.

Trans-Humanities publishes articles:
① transcending and crossing the boundaries of the existing disciplines in the humanities to discover and introduce studies in which multiple disciplines are interchanged or integrated, whether within or beyond the broad field of humanities.
② examining new humanities themes from a trans-boundary perspective, thereby actively introducing studies that intensify or extend the research subjects of the humanities.
③ engendering academic communication across the boundaries of institutions, cultures, geography, gender, media, and disciplines and furthermore, acting as the mediator of a knowledge basis from a global perspective, thereby contributing to the internationalization of domestic academic discourse and, by appointing internationally eminent scholars as editors, stimulating academic interchange domestically and internationally.
④ forming a discursive space leading to the systematization of “trans-boundary humanities” discourse.
The journal is published three times a year (English issues: February and October; Korean issue: June).
